The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health is committed to offering a global perspective on issues in healthcare and leadership. We welcome international applicants to the Master of Healthcare Administration degree program. Note that the curriculum does include two required immersive experiences on our Los Angeles, California campus. Students will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs.
English language proficiency is vital to your success in the online MHA program. All applicants whose first language — or language of instruction for at least the last three years — is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) exam. TOEFL or IELTS scores may be submitted as part of the online application or sent by the testing service directly to the MHA program office.
Minimum TOEFL scores:
ETS School Code for UCLA: 4837
Minimum IELTS Academic overall band score: 7.0
When completing the online application, international applicants should upload unofficial transcripts from all academic institutions attended.
If admitted to UCLA, applicants must submit official academic records. These are defined as original documents issued by the institution — not photocopies — which bear the registrar’s signature and the seal of the issuing institution. Instructions and deadlines for submission are included with official offers of admission. New graduate students should submit official records in the original language with a complete, authorized English translation.
If you have attended more than one institution, each one should submit separate official records.
Submitted records become the university’s property, and we cannot return them to you. If your academic record cannot be replaced, keep the original for yourself and obtain a certified copy. Never send a document to UCLA that cannot be replaced.
